Best and Worst Domino’s Menu Items — Eat This Not That

While working the nine-to-five grind, Domino’sPizza is a lifesaver, as the delectable pizza, mouth-watering wings, and hearty sandwiches available on the menu will satisfy your comfort food desires like no other fast-food restaurant. Additionally, don’t forget to order late-night delivery pizza and game-day favorites for a large group of friends. Choosing your meals carefully here, however, is recommended if you want to keep on track with your wellness goals. There are foods on the menu that are high in salt, sugar, carbohydrate, and calorie content—and some of the worst offenders will surprise you with how bad they are.

For your convenience, she has listed some of the greatest and worst foods she advises you order—or avoid ordering—the next time you want to get your Domino’s fix.

Specialty Pizza

230 calories, 8 g fat (4 g saturated fat), 490 mg sodium, 27 g carbohydrates (2 g fiber, 2 g sugar), 10 g protein, courtesy of Domino’s When ordering your meal from Domino’s, Davidson suggests choosing pizzas that are high in veggies, since these sorts of pies tend to be low in calories and high in fiber, which is beneficial for your overall health. She loves fresh veggies, and the Pacific Veggie pie is one of her favorites since it has mushrooms, spinach, roasted red peppers, and diced tomatoes among other fresh ingredients.

The SpinachFeta pie is another winner in Davidson’s book, since she says that topping your pieces with highly-processed meat increases your salt and fat consumption by a significant amount.

230 calories, 10 grams of fat (4 grams of saturated fat), 490 milligrams of sodium, 27 grams of carbohydrates (2 grams of fiber, 2 grams of sugar), and 9 grams of protein, courtesy of Domino’s In fact, “this pie does contain veggies, as it has fresh green peppers, mushrooms, and onions,” Davidson explains.

This recipe is courtesy of Domino’s.

This experimental pizza may have ham and smoky bacon, but it also has some fruit and vegetables, due to the addition of pineapple and roasted red peppers to the toppings list.

“This pizza may appear to be superior than others, but it is by no means something I would recommend eating on a daily basis,” she continues.

courtesy of domino’s 250 calories, 11 g fat (5 g saturated fat), 520 mg sodium, 27 g carbohydrates (1 g fiber, 2 g sugar), 12 g protein per serving As Davidson points out, “While the Memphis BBQ Chicken pizza will still have a lot of calories, the meat on this pie will be less processed and a better source of protein when compared to the other selections on the menu.” With permission from Domino’s 280 calories, 13 g fat (5 g saturated fat), 710 mg sodium, 28 grams of carbohydrates (2 grams fiber, 2 grams sugar), and 9 grams of protein This pizza may be delicious since it contains a significant amount of toppings, which include green peppers, black olives, and meats such as pepperoni, ham, and Italian sausage, among others.

  • However, according to Davidson, it is still a pie that should be avoided while dining at Domino’s since it contains too much processed beef and is hence heavy in fat and salt.
  • According to Davidson, this pizza has a high calorie and fat content as a result of the highly processed meats used, which include sausage, Italian sausage, beef, and chicken.
  • Davidson, on the other hand, claims that other from satisfying your taste receptors with rich flavor, this pie doesn’t provide much in the way of nutritional value.
  • 270 calories, 13 g fat (6 g saturated fat), 660 mg sodium, 26 g carbohydrate (including 1 grain of fiber and 2 grams sugar), and 12 grams of protein.
  • Furthermore, Davidson points out that, despite the fact that this pizza has 12 grams of protein, it is not the healthiest pizza available in terms of nutrition due to the high amounts of fat, salt, and carbohydrates.
  • It is provided by Domino’s.

Specialty Chicken

Image courtesy of Domino’s180 calories, 10 g fat (3.5 g saturated fat), 1130 mg sodium, 14 g carbohydrates (including 1 g fiber and 1 g sugar) and nine grams of protein If you purchase the speciality chicken, Davidson claims that the sauces are the most important factor to consider. Sweet sauces often contain more sugar than savory sauces, so if you are trying to reduce your sugar intake, this is something to keep in mind while making your selection. She suggests that you purchase the Classic Hot Buffalo from Domino’s since it has the fewest calories, fat, and sugar of any of their pizzas, according to her.

Davidson believes that, in comparison to the Classic Hot Buffalo, this chicken selection is the worst on the menu since it has far more calories and fat.

Wings

The following nutritional information is provided by Domino’s:190 calories, 13 grams of fat (3.5 grams of saturated fat), 660 milligrams of sodium, 7 grams of carbohydrates (0 grams of fiber, 0 grams of sugar), 13 grams of protein Wings are a typical side dish, but according to Davidson, the calorie and fat content may quickly pile up. In order to save a few calories, she suggests choosing the plain wings, which are somewhat lower in calories, fat, and protein while being much lower in sugar and salt than the seasoned wings.

In light of this, she advises against buying the Sweet Mango Habanero Wings, since they are likely to contain far more sugar than other wings in this category.

Sandwiches

The following nutritional information is provided by Domino’s:190 calories, 13 grams of fat (3.5 grams of saturated fat), 660 milligrams of sodium, 7 grams of carbohydrates (0 grams of fiber and 0 grams of sugar), 13 grams of protein The calorie and fat load of wings may seem traditional, but according to Davidson, they can mount up fast. In order to save a few calories, she suggests choosing the plain wings, which are somewhat lower in calories, fat, and protein while being much lower in sugar and salt than the fried versions.

She advises against purchasing the Sweet Mango Habanero Wings since the sugar content is likely to be significantly greater than that of the other wings in this category, she explains.

Pasta

550 calories, 27 g fat (16 g saturated fat), 790 mg sodium, 61 g carbohydrates (3 g fiber, 5 g sugar), 16 g protein, courtesy of Domino’s In the event that you’re in the mood for a substantial bowl of pasta, Davidson recommends the Pasta Primavera (avoid the bread bowl! ), which is lower in calories, fat, salt, and sugar while still offering sufficient protein. 690 calories, 34 g fat (14 g saturated fat), 1620 mg sodium, 70 g carbohydrates (6 g fiber, 14 g sugar), 28 g protein, courtesy of Domino’s This is Davidson’s opinion: “The Italian Sausage Marinara would be the worst choice from the pasta menu.” Because of the processed meat and sauce, she explains, this meal has a significantly greater salt and sugar content.

Bread

220 calories, 10 g fat (4.5 g saturated fat), 220 mg sodium, 27 g carbohydrates (1 g fiber, 1 g sugar), 5 g protein, courtesy of Domino’s However, Davidson recommends eliminating bread entirely because you are already ingesting a significant amount of carbs from your spaghetti, pizza, and sandwich, according to Davidson. Although she recommends that customers get bread, she recommends that they order the Parmesan Bites since they are significantly fewer in calories and fat than the other bread choices on the menu.

As Davidson points out, “the BaconJalapeno Stuffed Cheesy Bread is the worst option on the Domino’s bread menu.” In addition, she points out that “as soon as an item is packed, it will contribute much more calories due to the added cheese.”

Salad

Courtesy of Domino’s200 calories, 9 grams of fat (4.5 grams of saturated fat), 220 milligrams of sodium, 17 grams of carbohydrates (4 grams of fiber, 6 grams of sugar), and 8 grams of protein When ordering salads at Domino’s, Davidson advises that the less additional components that are included in a salad, the lower the calorie and fat content of the salad. With this in mind, she recommends that you choose the Garden Fresh salad, which is by far the finest option on the salad menu since it has fresh veggies that are high in fiber and will help you feel full immediately.

“Use a light Italian dressing to coat the salad, which will assist to improve the nutritional profile of the dish,” Davidson recommends.

Dessert

190 calories, 9 g fat (3.5 g saturated fat), 120 mg sodium, 25 g carbohydrates (1 g fiber, 18 g sugar), 2 g protein, courtesy of Domino’s In the event that you still have space for dessert, Davidson recommends the Marbled Cookie Brownie rather than the Chocolate Lava Crunch Cake as a superior choice. The amount of calories, fat, and sugar is reduced by half, according to her. 350 calories, 19 grams of fat (9 grams of saturated fat), 135 milligrams of sodium, 46 grams of carbohydrates (1 gram of fiber, 28 grams of sugar), and 4 grams of protein Because it contains a large quantity of sugar, fat, and calories, Davidson believes that this dessert is not a good decision in any way.

And you certainly don’t require any more of those after having just finished your main course!

History

Domino’s Pizza first opened its doors in Ypsilanti, Michigan, in 1960 under the name DomiNick’s. Brothers Tom and James Monaghan acquired the company with the intention of running it as equal partners. However, after eight months, James chose to devote his attention to his full-time job as a postman and sold his part of the business to his brother in return for the old pizza delivery van, a Volkswagen Beetle, which he had acquired. Monaghan established worldwide dominance in 1965 and expanded to two further locations the following year.

  1. Immediately after, the firm opened its first franchised branch in 1967, and by 1978 it had expanded to more than 200 sites worldwide.
  2. After that, in 1985, they launched its first branch in the United Kingdom, in Luton.
  3. As a company, Domino’s has undergone significant transformations throughout the years, most recently changing its name from Domino’s Pizza, Inc.
  4. In order to better represent the company’s growth, and in particular to take into account the wide range of menu items presently offered, this adjustment was made.

Review

What makes Domino’s particularly well-known is their “30 minutes or less promise,” a claim that has resulted in the company being named as a defendant in a number of high-profile cases in the past. While this is no longer available at most locations, they still guarantee that your meal will be delivered fast and while it is still sizzling hot. And they absolutely deliver on their promises. The vast majority of locations are either take-out or delivery-only fast food establishments, while some locations do feature an eat-in dining area.

  • Every restaurant, no matter where you go in the globe, will greet you with a familiar variety of menu items.
  • Every restaurant will serve their world-famous pizza as the centerpiece of their menu.
  • They are also available in small, medium, large, and extra large sizes.
  • Their extensive assortment of sides ensures that there is something for everyone, including chicken wings, speciality breads, and potato wedges, to mention a few options.
  • Why not try an American Legends, Wisconsin 6 Cheese deep pan with some garlic bread and a lava cake the next time you order?
  • Even better than all of this, Domino’s pizza is quite reasonable, with prices ranging from $5.99 to $17.99 depending on the size, dough type, and flavor of the pizza ordered.

Overall, this restaurant takes pleasure in providing speedy delivery, the finest quality, flavorful, hot pizza, and a wonderful selection of side dishes to its customers. They have been in business for more than 55 years and will continue to be one of the worldwide leaders in the pizza industry.

Popular Domino’s Menu Items Ranked Worst To Best

Photograph courtesy of Michael M. Santiago/Getty Images Pizzerias are one of the most popular dishes in the world, and they are available everywhere. Different types of pizza, including New York style, deep dish and Sicilian, are enjoyed by people of all cultures and ethnic backgrounds. And while there are local eateries that will undoubtedly serve up some of the greatest pizza in your region, you can never go wrong with a casual trip to Domino’s (or, better yet, having Domino’s come to you).

When there are so many options on the menu, it might be overwhelming at first, especially if you’re want to branch out from your usual fare and try something new.

You may not agree with all of our rankings, but we guarantee that everything you purchase from our menu will leave your taste senses satisfied and delighted.

15. Domino’s Chicken Carbonara Pasta

“However, it’s an Italian restaurant,” you point out. “Why shouldn’t I be able to have pasta?” First and foremost, let us refrain from making fun of the Italians. Domino’s may provide pizza and other items that may be considered Italian, but it is not a legitimate Italian restaurant in the traditional sense of the word. Sure, the pizza is delicious, but do you really want to venture into the maze of pasta dishes offered by this mega-chain restaurant? In our judgment, you most certainly do not qualify.

What’s going on?

Because carbonara is made with eggs and pecorino romano, it is far superior than alfredo; therefore, attempting to pass the two off as the same dish is a disgraceful attempt.

The answer is going to be an emphatic “no way!” If you’re searching for a true carbonara, this dish of pasta will leave you feeling a little let down.

14. Domino’s Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich

Let’s be quite clear about this. However, we are not advocating that Domino’s never go out outside the realm of pizza delivery. The chain has the ability and should experiment with new ideas. However, attempting to transform a classic when it is not your area of expertise? Domino’s didn’t come up with a really bright concept. Perhaps this is how the Philly cheesesteak sandwich got its start. What exactly do we dislike about it? “There’s no cheese, no meat, and a lot of bread,” writes Serious Eats, describing the situation accurately.

While it could’ve been stuffed to the brim with all of your favorite toppings, it’s a melancholy sandwich that’s not exactly what you’re looking for when you order in.

The meat is a little dry, the cheese is a little cheap-tasting, and the bread? Even the bread itself is of poorer quality than we would have expected. You are allowed to opt out of this Philly embarrassment if you so want.

13. Domino’s Cheeseburger Pizza

Pizza is a favorite of yours. Cheeseburgers are one of your favorite foods. So it only seems logical to merge the two concepts, doesn’t it? Not so fast, my friend. However, while the cheeseburger pizza is clearly not the worst item on the menu, it is most likely the most popular pizza that we dislike. The ketchup-mustard sauce is one component of the pie that we particularly enjoy. The savory flavors of the mustard mingle with the sweet flavors of the ketchup to create a completely new kind of pizza sauce experience that is completely unique.

  • Unfortunately, the blandness of the toppings on this pizza does not appeal to us in the least.
  • On a pizza, perhaps?
  • It’s true that it’s a combination of provolone and cheddar, but it’s still cheese.
  • Add to it ground meat, diced tomatoes, and fresh onions, and you have a subparpizza that might have been far better with a few minor adjustments.
  • Is it possible, though, that you order this dish the next time you order Domino’s?

12. Domino’s Boneless Chicken Wings

We understand that some people will disagree with us on this point, and we can’t blame them for doing so. The chicken wings here are, on the surface, respectable. They have a more complex flavor than you might anticipate from wings ordered from a pizza shop, and this menu item isn’t a complete failure in terms of quality. However, in truth, if you actually want a delicious wing, you should avoid the boneless choice and opt for the bone-in variety instead. This is not a preference that is exclusive to Domino’s: Bone-in wings are generally considered to be superior to boneless wings.

Yes, it is correct.

For those who enjoy white flesh, these “wings” will likely be even more enjoyable than the genuine thing for them.

11. Domino’s MeatZZa Pizza

Vegetarians may probably want to skip this one entirely because of the meat. This meat feast of a pizza is so densely packed with meat that the box actually seems heavier than it would be if it contained an other Domino’s pizza of the same size. Then this might be the lunch for you if you enjoy a hearty, meaty supper. The MeatZZa Pizza, on the other hand, is perhaps not one of the finest selections for the rest of the globe. The amount of meat, in our opinion, is simply excessive. With pepperoni, ham, sausage, and beef all competing for our taste receptors’ attention, it’s easy to get the impression that you’re eating a pie made of flesh while you’re eating this pizza.

YouTuber TheReportOfTheWeek has a different take on the situation.

Consequently, you could see all of the meat you were receiving, and the various meats would have a wonderful browning on the tops of their respective cuts.

His MeatZZa would be better served with the traditional method, and we would agree if we were him. However, we believe that this pizza would be a slam dunk for a newly lapsed vegan or for someone who is simply desperate to consume as much protein as possible in their diet.

10. Domino’s Buffalo Chicken Pizza

We were shocked to see that the buffalo pizza sat more in the center of this list, since we had expected it to be either loved or detested by us. If you’re a fan of buffalo sauce, this is a great concept to consider. For those who want their buffalo sauce hot and very flavored, however, the sauce on this pizza may fall short of your expectations. Consider the words of one Redditorwho stepped up to the plate to voice his dissatisfaction with the pizza: “Even if I tell you to top it with additional buffalo sauce, it will still taste like a hackneyed cheese pizza with a little kick.

It appears that they are refusing to utilize spicy sauce as a basis.” Despite this, we don’t want to be too critical of this pizza.

And what about the cheese combined with the buffalo sauce?

If Domino’s would only turn up the heat a little bit more on the sauce on this pizza, it would almost certainly wind up considerably higher on this list of best pizzas.

9. Domino’s Italian Sausage Marinara Pasta

The Chicken Carbonara Pasta was the reason for our comments against ordering pasta at Domino’s, and we stand by our statement regarding the restaurant. However, after tasting the Italian Sausage Marinara Pasta, we came to the conclusion that perhaps not all of Domino’s pasta is as horrible as we thought. Of course, this does not necessarily imply that we think it’s an excellent piece of work. At the absolute least, you should select this meal above the majority of the other options available on the Domino’s pasta menu.

We wouldn’t call it al dente, but it’s close.

If you want to enjoy your Italian Sausage Marinara Pasta in the proper manner, you should order it in a bread bowl.

They also emphasized the fact that this menu item is reasonably inexpensive when compared to other, similar goods.

8. Domino’s Chicken Habanero Sandwich

Are all of your pals buying pizza from Domino’s, but you don’t want to eat it yourself? The possibility of this happening is a possibility, despite the fact that we cannot fathom why someone would ever refuse a pizza. The Chicken Habanero Sandwich is the most popular sandwich option for those who would rather have a sandwich rather than a pie. Before we get started, we’d want to point you that this isn’t exactly the healthiest option available on the menu. According to the website Eat This, Not That!, it is really the least healthiest sandwich offered by the brand.

However, this sandwich is actually pretty darned delectable.

When you combine the sandwich with the sweet sauce, you have yourself a delectable meal. If, on the other hand, you dislike the combination of sweet and salty, you should avoid this dish.

7. Domino’s Spinach and Feta Pizza

When compared to the Chicken Habanero Sandwich, the next item on our rating is really rather healthy when compared to the other things on the menu. Domino’s Spinach and Feta Pizza seems like it would be the most refined item you could ever order from them, and it just could be that. Fortunately, it is not detrimental to your health. If you’re looking for a pizza from this establishment, Eat This, Not That! recommended it as the finest alternative. While eating greens as part of a salad is a more healthful option, putting them on top of a pizza isn’t a bad idea either.

Our favorite part about this pizza is the feta cheese, and the way it melts and blends with the provolone makes it a great choice for any cheese fan out there!

6. Domino’s Chicken Taco Pizza

You don’t recall seeing this pizza on the Domino’s menu the last time you placed an order there. This is due to the fact that it is a completely new service. It will be released in August of 2020, so if you haven’t had the chance to sample it yet, now is the time to do so. And if you do, you’re not likely to be disappointed with your decision. Thrillist sampled the new pizza and shared their thoughts with us: “When you bite into a slice of Chicken Taco pizza, the first thing you’ll notice is the taco seasoning that Domino’s utilized as a foundation flavor in place of its traditional tomato pizza sauce.

According to Thrillist, the only thing missing from this pizza is a dash of cayenne pepper.

And it gets even better.

5. Domino’s Cheesy Stuffed Bread with Bacon and Jalapeno

There are times when a single pizza simply isn’t enough. You may not want to order a second pizza in its whole, but you do want something extra to chew on while you are enjoying your dinner with friends and family. It’s then time to serve the Cheesy Stuffed Bread with Bacon and Jalapeno to your guests. This menu item is not what you expect it to be. If you were expecting a flat slice of bread with some spicy cheese strewn across the top, you’d be mistaken. In the words of Brand Eating, the bread is “delightfully light and fluffy.” The bacon used in the meal was also praised by the reviewer: “Domino’s bacon is the best available among the pizza delivery companies.

Combine the smokey taste with the spice and cheesiness that topping this fluffy slice of bread, and it’s easy to see why you should give this bread a try the next time you get Domino’s delivery.

4. Domino’s Garlic Parmesan Wings

The boneless wings available at Domino’s are often overlooked, but that does not mean you should shun them entirely. A surprising number of different types of wings are available to choose from in fact. Which one is our favorite? The Garlic Parmesan Wings are a delicious appetizer. Another recent addition to the menu, this one will be available starting in the summer of 2020. It was part of the chain’s “new and better” sauce range, which also included spicy buffalo and honey barbecue sauces, among other flavors.

Although it’s heavy on both tastes, it’s done in the most delicious way conceivable.

The chicken itself is moist and delicious, and it readily slips off the bone when cooked properly.

If you enjoy cheese and garlic (and who doesn’t?) there’s no greater flavor than this one.

3. Domino’s Chocolate Lava Crunch Cakes

The savory meal options at Domino’s are extensive. When it comes to salty and umami foods, this pizza company has everything you’re searching for. They have everything from pizza to sandwiches to wings to cheesy bread and everything in between. However, when it comes to the restaurant’s sweet choices, you’ll find that there are far fewer alternatives. In reality, there are just three desserts available on the Domino’s menu at any one time. The Cinnamon Bread Twists are our least favorite option because they aren’t particularly delicious.

However, it just cannot compete with the third and last item on the dessert menu: the Chocolate Lava Crunch Cakes (shown above).

The molten chocolate in the centre of the cake will be revealed as soon as your tool penetrates the soft brown cake with a knife.

If you haven’t had a chance to try this dessert yet, it’s time to place an order with Domino’s.

2. Domino’s Parmesan Bread Bites

You already know how much we enjoy Domino’s parmesan products, as seen by our positive review of the Garlic Parmesan Wings. But what if there was a menu item that included cheese that we all adored even more? The Parmesan Bread Bites are a delicious appetizer. Do you require additional carbohydrates with your pizza? In no way, shape, or form. After taking a look at these magnificent dough-balls filled with cheesy bliss, are you sure you want them? You will, without a doubt. When it comes to the taste of this snack, Brand Eating put it perfectly: “These don’t have the gooey-ness of mozzarella if that’s what you’re looking for, but they give Parmesan-garlic tastiness in a soft bite of bread.” You can trust us when we declare that these Parmesan Bread Bites are superior to any other bread/mozzarella combination you’ve ever had.

They’re a little hefty, but we enjoy that about them since you only need a couple to make you feel pleased. Furthermore, because they are packaged in little, separate “bits,” you may convince yourself that you are only going to consume one or two of them.

1. Domino’s Ultimate Pepperoni Pizza

When you want the finest of the best, sometimes it’s best to stick with the tried-and-true standards. That’s why we prefer to indulge in what Domino’s does best: a pepperoni pizza from their extensive menu. Order the Ultimate Pepperoni Pizza instead of a regular pepperoni pizza if you want something special. We like this one above the others since the amount of pepperoni on it is just astonishing. You’ll love this pizza if you enjoy a meatier pizza that doesn’t have a ton of various meats on it.

Although we don’t necessarily agree with this rating, we believe that there aren’t too many selections at Domino’s that would lend itself to a healthy lunch decision in the first place.

Surely, that’s a positive step forward.

The crust, as well as the edges of the pepperoni slices, have a good crunch to them.

We think this sounds like the ideal pizza.
