- I checked out a few sandwiches and sides to see how they compared to other fast food meals this year because Wendy’s has been extensively advertising its morning menu. Wendy’s breakfast is a strong rival to McDonald’s, with the chicken biscuit standing out as a highlight item.
Breakfast has been slowly growing for Wendy’s making up 7.5% of sales in the third quarter, with an expected 20 to 30% growth in 2021.
I checked out a few sandwiches and sides to see how they compared to other fast food breakfasts this year because Wendy’s has been extensively marketing its breakfast menu. In the morning, Wendy’s is a strong rival to McDonald’s, with the chicken biscuit standing out as a highlight;
I visited the Wendy’s drive-thru to check out the chain’s breakfast for myself and see how it stacks up to the rest of the industry.

I’m a huge hash brown fan and not sure if these could measure up, but I was pleasantly surprised.

They were warm, with the right amount of crispy outside to soft, warm, insides. I’d even consider getting them again in place of hash browns.

Wendy’s also sells an oatmeal bar. It was somewhere between a cookie and a granola bar — not my favorite, but I could see it being an easy to eat, quick breakfast on the go.

The sides were not bad, but getting to the breakfast sandwiches was what I was really looking forward to.

I ordered three sandwiches, and enlisted the help of my fiance to rank them.

First off, we tried a bacon egg and cheese sandwich on a croissant, a classic in the world of fast food breakfast.

It was solidly fine. The croissant wasn’t great, and I wouldn’t go out of my way to get it again, but definitely not bad either.

Next, we tried the sausage egg and cheese on a biscuit

This sandwich was great, definitely a match for the classic McDonald’s breakfast.

The final sandwich, the honey butter biscuit, was easily the best of the three.

The coffee was exactly what you’d expect: not any better than what I’d make at home, but good enough alongside a good breakfast sandwich.

Breakfast sandwiches are just $1.99 at Wendy’s through October
For the month of October, Wendy’s will be selling croissant breakfast sandwiches for $1.99. Wendy’s Corporation (Wendy’s) Wendy’s is giving two breakfast sandwiches for just $1.99 each until October in celebration of the opening of the college football season in the United States. Customers can pick between two croissant sandwiches: the Sausage, Egg, and Swiss or the Bacon, Egg, and Swiss croissant. Wendy’s also has the following specials: Every Saturday and Sunday in September, orders placed through the app will be delivered for free.
- They can also receive a free sausage, egg and cheese; bacon, egg and cheese; or honey butter chicken biscuit with any purchase on Saturday and Sunday.
- It is possible to apply the mobile deal to a mobile order or to scan it in-restaurant or at the drive-thru.
- The deal is valid through October 3.
- Premium cheeseburgers, including the new Big Bacon Cheddar, will be available for purchase with a buy-one-get-one-free promotion through the Burger King app.
- Books are available for purchase at the restaurant through October 31.
- The Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption receives a portion of the proceeds from the sale of the books.

Wendy’s breakfast sandwich discount
For hungry bargain hunters, Wendy’s is going to be a great place to start their morning. Due to the fact that the fast-food restaurant is still in the early stages of offering a breakfast menu, the discount is an excellent chance for both new and returning customers to sample one of the brand’s most popular breakfast sandwiches. (As a point of reference, Wendy’s began providing breakfast nationwide in early 2020.) Starting on August 16, the fast-food chain will sell its Sausage, EggSwiss Croissant and Bacon EggSwiss Croissant for $1.99 each for a limited time only.
Breakfast is generally available from 6:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at most locations. Each sandwich typically sells for around $4 on the national market, resulting in a savings of almost 50%. Furthermore, there is no restriction on how many reduced sandwiches you may get for the full morning crew.

Egg Sandwiches

Breakfast Panini and Burritos
As an alternative to the conventional breakfast sandwich, Wendy’s provides a breakfast burrito and panini sandwiches, among other options. The Bacon Fire-Roasted Burrito is made out of eggs, cheese, peppers, and bacon that are wrapped together in a huge multi-grain tortilla and baked to perfection. It has 520 calories, 28 g of fat, and 11 g of saturated fat, and weighs 1 pound. The Morning Melt Panini sandwiches are one of the least healthful options on the morning menu, and they are available only on weekends.
When it comes to calories, the bacon panini has 570 and 38 grams of fat, with 19 grams of saturated fat, but the sausage panini has 690 and 49 grams of fat, with 23 grams and 23 grams of saturated fat.
Potatoes
Breakfast potatoes at Wendy’s are served with the skins still on, which increases their nutritional value by providing additional vitamins and minerals.
They are seasoned with sea salt, freshly cracked black pepper, and garlic powder, among other ingredients. A serving of Seasoned Home-Style Potatoes contains just 190 calories, 8 grams of fat, 1.5 grams of saturated fat, and 560 milligrams of sodium, making them a relatively healthy option.
Fruit And Oatmeal Bars
The fruit and oatmeal bar options on Wendy’s morning menu are the most nutritionally sound options available. Strawberry, grape, pineapple, and apple combinations are some of the fruit combinations available at Wendy’s. It just takes 50 calories to consume one cup of fruit, which includes no fat and no salt. Wendy’s oatmeal bars are made with oats and dried blueberries or cranberries, and they are cooked fresh every day in their bakery. There are 280 calories in each bar, as well as 10 grams of fat, 4.5 grams of saturated fat, and 220 milligrams of salt.
Considerations
Fast food places, according to Joanne V.
