This last year, I’ve spent countless hours refining the art of ice cream, and I’m ready to reveal all of my techniques for making a creamery-style milkshake at home, sans one crucial ingredient: ice cream.

Fantastic, absolutely fantastic! I did make a few changes to it. I used 18 cubes of ice, 2.5 cups of milk, the same amount of sugar (although I used natural cane sugar) and 5 frozen strawberries to make the smoothie. I blended it until it was completely smooth. It’s something I’ve done twice already. The first time I made it, I added peppermint essence in addition to the amount of sugar specified in the recipe. It was far too sweet for me, and I was unable to finish it. On the second try, I reduced the sugar and vanilla extract to a third of their original amounts. It was still a little too sweet for me.   1. It’s really creamy!
  2. For the foreseeable future, this will most likely become my go-to recipe for milkshakes.
  3. I created a shamrock shake with a dab of Mint extract and ice cream.

  5. I also needed to add a little more ice, so I put around 24 pieces.
  6. However, it is quite nice and very adjustable!

  • 2-1/2 cupsPrairie Farms Classic Cookies N’ Cream ice cream
  • 1-1/2 chocolate sandwich cookies
  • 1-gallonPrairie Farms milk
  • 2-gallonPrairie Farms Classic Cookies N’ Cream ice cream
  • 1 chocolate sandwich cookie

Instructions

  1. Blend the milk and ice cream in a blender until smooth, covering the blender halfway. Pour into a glass and top with a chocolate sandwich biscuit crumbled on top.
