How to Make Salmon Tea Sandwiches:

1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. 2. On the diagonal, cut the bread into slices that are 1/3 inch thick. Note: If your bread is really fresh and soft, you will not need to brush it with butter before baking it. Because my bread was a little more stale than usual, I toasted it, which helped. Place the bread slices side-by-side on a large baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes. Butter should be applied on the tops. Then, using a pastry brush, coat the opposite side of the buns with butter.

  1. Avoid wasting too much time on this stage; there is no need to be flawless in this case.
  2. The loaves should still be soft in the middle when they have finished baking.

As is true of many of our favorite cuisines, the club sandwich does not have a single genesis tale that can be traced back to it. There are a variety of options for “first” club sandwiches. One classic narrative takes place in the kitchen of a New York casino known as the Saratoga Club, while another tells of a guy who searches his pantry after a night out and “accidentally” discovers the club sandwich by mistake. These early tales are noteworthy in that they only ask for two pieces of bread, as opposed to the three or four layers we’re accustomed to seeing today.
