30 Non Sandwich Lunchbox Ideas

Lunch is more than just sandwiches, believe it or not! A lot of individuals make the goal to bring a healthy lunch to work every day at the beginning of the new year. The notion is excellent since a prepared lunch is not only better for you than a restaurant meal, but it is also better for your bank account as well. Furthermore, when you prepare your own meals, you can better cater to your own unique preferences than you can in a fast-food drive-through. You can omit the olives if you don’t care for them.

Because of this, some people instantly associate the phrase “packed lunch” with the word “sandwich.” As a result, they had tuna on Monday, bologna on Tuesday, peanut butter on Wednesday, and so on.

This results in the great resolution being abandoned.

In addition to salads, sandwiches, muffins, and pancakes, there are a variety of other delicious options for packing a lunchbox.

With so many options, you’ll never be tempted to grab something from the drive-through window again.

Anyone you’re packing a lunch for tomorrow morning will be delighted to get one of these treats!

Enjoy!

Was there a time when you were a child when you played with a dollhouse that wasn’t quite what you had hoped it would be? So you could have taken cardboard and construction paper and created some modifications. For example, you may have discovered Christmas lights and wrapped them in tulle to create an ethereal or underwater impression for your mermaids and mermen. Alternatively, you might have turned an old tree stump into a hobbit house worthy of Middle Earth. Whatever your imagination took you as a child, it may be time to recapture that imagination now that you are an adult.

You can not only view the amazing creations of others, but you can also follow step-by step instructions, watch how-to videos, and shop at niche stores that specialize in amazing miniatures to complete and complement your one-of-a-kind dream home.

Allow yourself to be submerged once more in the realm of miniatures.

1. Shabby Chic Simple

Who says that all dollhouses must be pink? Perhaps you live in a boxy contemporary efficiency, but your dreams are of white lace and roses on a mossy shoal someplace in the world. With this delightful cottage fromCinderella Momentsby Caroline Dupuis, you may enjoy this breath of fresh air on a window sill or side table and allow yourself to be carried away by the possibilities it holds for your life.

2. A Different Sort of Tree House

Taking a walk in the woods may be all that is required to start from scratch. It’s possible that a tree stump is just sitting there wanting to be transformed into a mouse playhouse. Maddie Brindley’s house, complete with instructions, may be found on her website, Mad’s Mouse House, which also has further information on the artisan, Maddie Brindley.

3. Striking the right note

The rubbish of one person may turn out to be a gem in another’s eyes. A deformed or damaged guitar can be transformed into a stage for imaginative performance once more. Take a peek at the guitar dollhouse created by Fairy Meadow Miniatures. Check out their website to see images of the work in progress as it happens.

4. A Grounded Type of Dollhouse

You knew I was going to have a Hobbit House when I made a reference to J.R.

R. Tolkien’s Middle Earth in my introduction. And here it is, at long last! You are not need to travel to New Zealand, although it may take a year to construct one in the same manner as Maddie Chambers. Visit Mads Hobbit Hole on WordPress for even more stunning interior photos.

5. So you feel like turning Japanese.

You could be tempted to transform into a Japanese character, like the English band The Vapors from the 1980s, but you won’t be able to. You may not be able to relocate to Japan or even purchase sushi in your current location. Then then, you may have your very own incredible little Japanese doll house! A kit for this one is available from Billy, a Japanese dollhouse manufacturer.

6. Dreams of being a gypsy

Perhaps your fantasies include traveling through Europe’s countryside as a rambling gypsy. Dollhouses may now be made in any form or size thanks to the invention of laser cutting printers, such as the 8-inch caravan made by Michelle’s Miniatures.

7. Maybe more mod!

It doesn’t matter whether your style is more classic or just rainbow if you love, love, adore this gorgeous gym. For the time being, thisKaleidoscope home can only be found on Ebay or Craigslist, but what a unique playhouse it would make!

8. A mini-modernist on your hands

This little modern masterpiece is the polar opposite of the Victorian doll home that served as my childhood hero. TheBennet House is referred to as such on several websites, and it is possible that the secondary market is the only area where it is still available!

8. Real Retro

If you don’t mind scouring the globe and the history, you could come upon this building, the Plattenbau-Hochhaus, which was built in 1966. What a charming individual! But how could you possibly dare to mess with this one?

9. Castle estate, take me away!

For those of you who like to live in another century rather than a decade, and who have always believed you would be well-suited for the royal treatment, this laser-cut castle doll house is just what you’ve been looking for. Although I was unable to locate a kit for purchase, it is feasible to get a video that includes a step-by-step laser saw demonstration. I guess one may dream and wish upon a star if one so desires!

10. True Royalty Only

It’s possible to be a millionaire these days and buy a dollhouse that looks just like the one constructed by Sir Edwin Lutyens in 1924 for the Queen of England. The day the house was moved is seen in this photograph, which was taken in 1924. If you want to view the castle in person, you’ll need to make a journey to Windsor Castle. For more information, see the Windsor Castle website. I believe it is possible that it will be worthwhile.

11. Very Victorian

If you’re looking for a Victorian dollhouse, your options are virtually limitless. There are samples of every color combination and scale that might be used. This is a classic design that may be seen on many websites. Certainly, there will be akit to begin with that will make your heart skip a beat if you are of the Victorian variety.

12. Very haunted memories

A Victorian dollhouse may be found in a variety of styles and sizes, and the options are virtually endless. Color combinations and scales in every imaginable combination are shown here. Many websites display this image as a classic example. Akitto begin with is certain to make your heart skip a beat if you’re a fan of the Victorian style.

13. Have you heard of Rob Heard?

Rob Heard’s sculptures are little dwellings that have been raised to the level of gravity-defying art!

I’m not sure whether there is a single child in the world that has the privilege of playing within one of these masterpieces, but if there is, they are very privileged. Did I mention that it was gravity defying?

14. Buying a boutique of miniatures

Maybe a London boutique dollhouse is what you’ve been longing for if constant shopping is your vision and dream come true. This particular doll will be on display at theKinsington Dollshow in London in May of this year. You’ll just bring the mall to your house, won’t you?

15. So simple, a child could assemble ANY WAY THEY WANT!

When I discovered her website, I was a little giddy with excitement. Because not only are the houses visually appealing, but they can also be swapped and linked with one another. This is the city of Lille in France. More information may be found atLille Hussets House.

16. A shoe in

Perhaps you have too many dolls and don’t know what to do with them, in which case you might benefit from this shoe, or rather, boot house. A boot may be transformed into a house for miniature dolls, and wouldn’t it be a great task to make a boot into a house for miniature dolls?

17. Living the Fabulous Life

However, I have to add the Barbie or Glamour Gal cruise ships because they are often larger than the dream houses. There were no odd self-made dollhouses that also doubled as cruise ships. Some of them are larger than typical children’s bookshelves. Despite the fact that they are made entirely of plastic, they are fantastic, and I miss having one!

18. The artist’s den of dollhouses

It’s something I hadn’t considered before, but constructing an artist’s studio would be incredible. Consider the case of Frida’s! Prints of her own artwork, as well as a tiny Frida in her famous position, are among the decorative elements.

19. One that casts a spell

Laura Denison’s Voodoo House is a thing of exquisite beauty. Instead of being frightening, it is simply lovely. You can see more of her work at G 45 Papers on Typepad, where she also keeps a blog. Color and pattern are layered and textured in a way that is a visual feast for the eyes. The little lamps and chandeliers are particularly charming. Wait! Is there a skull on the ground.?!?!

20. Fantasy creation indeed!

Frogmorton appears to be a specialist in dollhouses from the region of the fairy-gnomes. A live tree house, it appears to have been constructed by Mother Nature for some of her forest-dwelling relatives. Look at Frogmorton if you’re looking for more fantastic designs.

21. Go green! dollhouse

Some dollhouses are genuinely green, incorporating windmills and solar panels, making them ideal for environmentally aware parents who are rearing the next generation of earth stewards. ThisPlanstoy Green Dollhouse is also equipped with recycle bins for a variety of different materials and components. Talk about instilling a sense of gratitude for their mother planet in the future generation!

22. In an old house in Paris, that was covered in vines…

I had to choose a halting place, and I decided on theOld House in Paris. I own one of these houses and own a large collection of dolls and furniture from it. The book has been a favorite of mine since I was a youngster. I really enjoy the flicks! Madeline is such a bright and bubbly sprite. Consequently, when I stumbled upon this dollhouse at a secondhand store, I was taken aback by it. Because they are not available for purchase in the United States, I had never seen or heard of them before.

But, because I had begun reading the novels to my daughter, I couldn’t help but bring this dollhouse into my home, complete with as many of Madeline’s pals as I could locate on Ebay!

I think I might love it more than my child, and I do get a little excited when I come upon something interesting.

The lantern begins to glow. I have access to a large number of accessories. And I’m even accompanied by Miss Clavel. As well as getting Genevieve the puppy one day! .Of course, it’s for my great-grandchildren! Photo credit for the featured image: edgeeffectmedia.com through unsplash.com

11 Non-Sandwich Lunch Box Ideas (10 School Days + A Bonus!)

Making a cool lunch box is governed by the first rule of cool lunch box making: there are no rules. Keep it in mind! You may substitute ham, chicken, or turkey for the pepperoni if your children do not enjoy it. If they are a vegetarian, they can simply exclude the meat from their meals. It is quite OK to substitute sweet peppers for carrots if your children dislike carrots but like sweet peppers. Do you have a peanut allergy? Make use of almond butter! To make these ideas work for you, use them as inspiration and adjust or swap out ingredients as needed to accommodate dietary requirements.

  • The following is my formula for the ultimate lunch box: When I know they are eating nutritious meals that will keep them full until the conclusion of the school day, I can rest certain that they are getting the best education possible.
  • We have a lot of discussions about this, and to help my children understand what healthy food is, I frequently ask them what they would want their “healthy item” for the meal to be.
  • I believe it helps to pace the meal since you have to take your time to eat crunchy foods, and it also helps to balance the textures in the other parts of the meal to make it seem more satisfying overall.
  • My children and I both enjoy a little something sweet to round off our meals, and one of my children’s all-time favorite snacks is Mott’s Medleys Fruit Flavored Snacks.
  • If you’re looking for a tasty dessert, Mott’s Medley Fruit Flavored Snacks are a great choice!

No Sandwich Lunches — What Lisa Cooks

If you’re anything like me – or if your children are anything like mine – sandwiches may become quite monotonous very quickly! When we have sandwiches once or twice a week, the kids don’t want to eat them, and I grow tired of putting them together. This website has a collection of all of the lunches I’ve prepared that did not include sandwiches. I’ve been putting together lunches for my children for more than a decade. That means I’ve pretty much tried everything out there. I’ve had a lot of failures as well as a lot of successes, and I’ve gotten a fairly decent handle on what works in a packed lunch over the years.

My top recommendations for what you should prepare for school lunch are included on a separate page – go here to make sure you don’t miss out on that information.

While there are some similarities between the meals, if you look closely, you’ll see that they are never exactly the same again – I try to keep things fresh and interesting!

My objective with this post is to provide you with some ideas that are both fairly nutritious and simple to prepare. Prior to getting started, let’s talk about how to set yourself up for cold lunch success!

Recommended tools for packed lunches

It’s great to have a heated lunch box on those cold days when you want something warm to eat. The one I have (thanks to my mother) is genuinely functional. On the other days, a cold lunch will have to suffice. That means you’ll want to pack your cold items in a way that keeps them cold without taking up too much space in your lunchbag. A little lunchbox will not enough, especially if you will be on the road for the most of the day. This lunch box comes highly recommended since it is large enough to hold a meal as well as beverages and snacks for later.

Just as I previously stated, there are several options in this site, ranging from mason jar salads to wrap recipes, noodle meals to low carb cold lunches.
