Making your own bread may be done in a Pullman pan with the lid removed to make the top of the bread more uniform. You create the sandwiches first, then slice off the crusts of the bread and cut the sandwiches into little rectangles or triangles once they have been sliced.

All three sandwiches were a hit with my taste testers, but these deviled egg tea sandwiches were our favorite out of the bunch. Mango ginger chutney is used in the egg salad preparation! - A pinch of salt and four hard-boiled eggs are all you need. 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon mango chutney (I used mango ginger chutney)

- Freshly ground black pepper to taste

In the case of the Smoked Salmon Sandwiches
- Salted butter (about 3/4 stick, softened)
- 1-1/2 teaspoons lemon juice and 1/2 teaspoon lemon zest To taste, season with salt and freshly ground black pepper
- Light wheat bread
- 12 ounces thinly sliced smoked salmon
- 8 ounces whipped cream cheese that has been melted
In the case of the Roast Beef Sandwiches
- 1-1/2-inch sweet onion, peeled
- 2-inch garlic cloves, peeled
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste a quarter-cup of mayonnaise, 2 teaspoons prepared horseradish, 8 slices white bread, 3 1/2 tablespoons salted butter, melted, 8 ounces thinly sliced roast beef, fresh watercress
Making the Egg Salad Sandwiches is a simple process.
- Use a box grater to shred the hard-boiled eggs after they have been peeled. Mix in the mayonnaise, mango chutney, mustard, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper until everything is properly combined. Spread the butter on each slice of bread once it has been laid out on a work area. Make an even layer of egg salad between half of the bread pieces, sprinkle with watercress, then top with the remaining bread slices
- Wrap each sandwich in plastic wrap and place it in the refrigerator for up to two hours before serving
- Remove the crusts from the sandwiches using a serrated knife, then cut the sandwiches into rectangles or triangles before serving them
In the case of the Smoked Salmon Sandwiches
- Add the lemon zest and juice and continue to beat until the butter is soft. season with salt and pepper to taste Season the whipped cream cheese with salt and freshly ground pepper to your liking. Lay the bread down on a work surface and spread the lemon butter on each piece as evenly as possible
- Half of the slices should be spread with the whipped cream cheese, and the other half should be topped with the sliced smoked salmon. The remaining buttered bread should be placed on top. Wrap each sandwich in plastic wrap and place it in the refrigerator for up to two hours before serving
- Remove the crusts from the sandwiches using a serrated knife, then cut the sandwiches into rectangles or triangles before serving them
In the case of the Roast Beef Sandwiches
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Preheat oven to 400°F and bake for 40 to 50 minutes, or until the onion and garlic are browned
- Wrap the onion and garlic in aluminum foil and bake for another 10 minutes. Allow it cool somewhat before putting everything in a food processor. Allow for thorough cooling. Combine the onion and garlic combination, mayonnaise, and horseradish in a mixing bowl until well combined. You’ll have far more than you’ll ever need. Keep any remaining mayonnaise refrigerated. Spread the butter on each slice of bread once it has been laid out on a work area. Half of the slices should be spread with the onion, garlic, and horseradish mayonnaise
- The other half should be left plain. On top of the pieces, place thinly sliced roast beef and a sprinkling of watercress
- The remaining buttered bread should be placed on top. Wrap each sandwich in plastic wrap and place it in the refrigerator for up to two hours before serving
- Remove the crusts from the sandwiches using a serrated knife, then cut the sandwiches into rectangles or triangles before serving them
Bake at 375 degrees for 15 minutes. Preheat oven to 400°F and bake for 40 to 50 minutes, or until the onions and garlic are browned; wrap the onion and garlic in aluminum foil and bake for another 10 minutes. Wait until the mixture is somewhat cold before processing it in a food processor. Wait until the water has totally cooled down; The mayonnaise and horseradish should be mixed into the onion and garlic combination. This means you will have a surplus of supplies. Any remaining mayonnaise should be refrigerated unless otherwise specified.

Tea sandwiches, or all-mini sandwiches, to be more precise, are a delightful way to have a late morning or early afternoon tea (or mimosa) with friends.
It is sometimes referred to as ‘low tea’ as opposed to ‘high tea’ since the sandwiches were traditionally served on low tables, as opposed to high ones.
These finger tea sandwiches are most frequently seen at wedding showers and baby showers these days, mostly because finger foods are the perfect appetizer.
Oh, and did I mention how inexpensive they are to manufacture?
Can I make tea sandwiches the night before?
Yes! In fact, I strongly advise you to do so in order to save time. Simply place them in a well covered jar in the refrigerator.
To keep them from drying out, I prefer to stack them with a moist paper towel between each one. If you are piling your tea sandwiches on top of one another, I recommend placing a piece of wax or parchment paper between them to prevent them from becoming soggy or sticking together.

Sandwiches for an afternoon tea are traditionally cooked using an extremely soft, moist sandwich bread that can and will become quite dry if left out for longer than an hour or two. Keep in mind that open air is your adversary. There are two alternatives available to you: Put a moist paper towel or dish cloth over the top of your sandwiches to protect them until your visitors arrive.
How to cut tea sandwiches:
Tea sandwiches are traditionally sliced into little triangles in the manner of the British tradition. I like the rectangles because I believe it conserves bread resources. The first thing to do is to cut the crust off the bread. This is best accomplished with a serrated knife. If your knife is not too sharp, you will mush the bread in your hands. Then form two triangles by cutting diagonally across them. Another alternative is to make your sandwiches into long rectangles by cutting them in half.
Add a coating of butter to the top and bottom of your bread before baking.

- 4 slices White Sandwich Bread
- 8 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 teaspoon sugar, 2 teaspoons fresh parsley, 2 teaspoons fresh chives, salt to taste

- 1 cup plain whole Greek yogurt

- Prepare each sandwich filling by placing all of the ingredients in separate dishes and mixing them together. (There are a total of three) Using a silicone spatula, combine the two ingredients. (They are the most effective!) Please keep in mind that utilizing room temperature butter and cream cheese will make the mixing process much more straightforward. Put the bread slices out on a baking sheet and begin spreading the filling generously over each side of the bread
- After all three fillings are done, set them aside. *Please keep in mind that I used a TOTAL of 18 pieces of bread. I cut the bread into 6 pieces for each filling. This resulted in three enormous sandwiches, one for each filling. (There are a total of 9.) Using a sharp knife, I cut each of the nine completed sandwiches into TWO triangles, giving me a total of 18 tea sandwiches triangles to serve, or 6 triangles each person. If you want to QUARTER your tea sandwiches, it is perfectly OK. You should then receive twice as much money (a total of 36)
- Depending on how long your cucumbers are, trim the ends and then cut each one into thirds (or half, depending on how long your cucumbers are). In order to slice them down, it is best to first cut them lengthwise before slicing them down. We require around 4 “We cut them into chunks so that when we slice them, they will fit neatly into your loaf of bread. (See images for further information.) Finally, you may slice each portion into approximately 1/16-inch slices “a lot of it Depending on the size of your cucumbers, your yield will be different from mine. Aim for around 4-5 pieces of meat each sandwich! (Please refer to the photographs for reference! )
This recipe makes a total of 18 triangles, which is a good yield (6 of each type). This will serve around 6 people based on my assumptions that each person would have 3 sandwiches. **I filled each sandwich with around 2-3 tablespoons of filling. You may get a somewhat varying yield depending on how much filling you use! ** Tea sandwiches should be stored in a Tupperware container in the refrigerator until they are ready to be served. ** Cucumbers grown in a greenhouse are the lengthy seedless cucumbers.
Keep in mind that leaving the skin on enables the beautiful green color to peek through!
