  • Beef broth or fluids from roast beef
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup red wine
  • Drippings from roast meat
  • 1 cup water
  • After removing the roast from the pan, place the roasting pan from which the roast was cooked (for example, boneless prime rib) on the stovetop over low heat to keep it warm. Alternatively, you might use another dish that is suitable for cooking on the stove. Toss 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce and 1 cup red wine into the dish, along with the meat drippings, until well combined. If you’re using a roasting pan, scrape out any brown pieces that have accumulated on the bottom of the pan.
